A complete copper alloy jetton of Mathaus Lauffer (Master 1612, died 1634), struck in Nuremberg, Germany in 1619. The obverse depicts a rose surrounded by three crowns and three lis and the reverse depicts an imperial orb. C.f. Mitchiner, p 480, no 1696. Diameter: 21.2 mm Thickness: 1.1 mm Weight: 1.9 g Mathaus was the third son of Wolf Lauffer; younger brother of Georg (d. 1647) and Hans (d. 1632), elder brother of Wolf II (d. 1651).
