A copper-alloy nummus of the House of Valentinian. Mint is probably Thesalonica, AD364-378, (Reece period 19). Reverse legend reads [GLORIA ROMANORVM]. Reverse shows Emperor advancing right, dragging captive and holding standard. Obverse shows bust right. Obverse legend reads [...]-[...]. Reverse fields and exergue read: - ?//(TES?) (?). Condition is fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 2.84g, diameter is 17.83mm. See LRBC p.79, c.f.1704ff. This is a find of note.
