Illegible reverse type. unclear mint.  The coin has been modified through the addition of two drilled circular perforations positioned at 3 o'clock when viewed from the obverse of the coin.  Diameter: 28.62 mm; Thickness: 2.47 mm; Weight: 8.74g.

A plated contemporary copy of a Roman denarius combining an obverse of Nero (AD 54-68) with a reverse type probably of Vespasian (AD 69-79), dating to the late-1st century AD (Reece period 4). Obverse: IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P P, Laureate head right (cf. RIC I, 2nd ed., pp. 152-154 for AD 64-68). Reverse: COS ITE-R-TR POT, Pax seated left holding branch and caduceus (cf. RIC II, 2nd ed., p. 60, no. 29 for AD 70). The coin has a copper-alloy core visible in damage to the silver plating on both faces.
