A fragment of an Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper strap-end (cf. Thomas Class E, Type 4) made from a single plate of cast copper alloy. The rear end has broken off. The body of the object is tongue-shaped and decorated with a complex double-stranded insular Borre style ‘vertebral ring-chain’ interlace motif. The reverse is undecorated.

Incomplete Medieval composite strap-end with a forked spacer, ends of forks and one sheet plate missing, the other plate recently broken in two. Spacer secured by a rivet near the collared knop, another rivet near straight attachment edge for strap. Very fine transversely engraved lines on the knop, which is of similar form to Dress Accessories nos.680 and 684. 35 x 15mm. 14th - early 15th century.

A complete copper-alloy strap end of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. The object comprises two heater shield shaped plates joined together at the lower pointed terminal. The opposite end is open, though joined with a central rivet. The sides of the plates are broadly parallel. The upper surface of one plate is decorated with a shallowly incised triangle flanked by pellets. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. A medieval copper alloy strap end, dating to c. AD 1200 - 1400. Comprising of a forked spacer with two facing plates. There is a small knop on the rounded front edge and one rear plate edge has a broken edge. The other a straight one. There remains some of the material of the belt/strap. The face is mottled green/brown and shows no decoration.  Length 27.56 mm, width 14.09 mm and weight 4.25 g.

A strap end of composite construction with two plates of thickness 0.9 and 0.4mm with a central probably forked spacer plate between them whose tip projects at the outer ogival end. The inner end is lightly engrailed. A rivet of diameter 1.7mm passes through the inner end to attach the plates to each other and the strap. The find is sub rectangular with the outer edges of a narrowed and recessed split end having two semi circular projections, one above the other. But there is also early damage and it is unclear whether the recesses were intended or part of that damage. The object is trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in section and is formed made up of two sheets connected by two rivets that are in line towards the bottom of the plate. The object has a green and brown patina. Length: 18.2mm, Width: 13.8mm, Thickness 3.2mm, Weight: 0.66g.  Similar strap ends can be found in Egan and Pritchard 1991, p 159, fig 104 no. 769.

A subrectangular copper alloy plate from a composite medieval strap end, 54.1mm in length. The front end tapers to a blunt point. The rear end has bifurcating projections, each drilled for and retaining a rivet. The front of the plate is decorated with intertwining arcs of rocker-arm zig-zag decoration. The reverse of the plate is undecorated and retains traces of the (now lost) spacer plate around the edge.

There is a single surviving rivet in the middle of the closed end. Measurements are; length 18.9mm, width 11.1mm, thickness 4.4mm and weight 1.77g.
