A small convex Medieval cast copper alloy bar mount, 16.8mm in length with a hemispherical plate decorated with cross hatched lines and with a rounded knop at end end, one of these is largely missing but both are pierced for copper alloy rivets, one of which is retained. Circa 14th century.

An incomplete Late Saxon copper-alloy mount dating to the early medieval period, c. AD 1000-1100. The mount is a tapering flat-sectioned bar, with a central break. The remaining central bar has parallel sides, two lobes protrude from the bar followed by two straight edges that taper inwards towards the terminal. The terminal is a rounded trefoil shape with a central perforation. The upper face is decorated with incised lines forming a simple design. The reverse is undecorated. The object is black in colour and the decoration is highlighted in lighter brown.

A complete cast copper alloy mount dating to AD 1700 - 1900. The mount is an S-shape in plan and domed in cross section (convex front and flat reverse). It has an attachment spike or integral rivet in the centre of the underside. It is a speckled dark sometimes medium green colour.
The mount is 27.2mm long, 13.1mm wide, 15.9mm thick including the rivet, 3.6mm thick without. it weighs 3.26 grams.

A complete cast copper alloy circular mount dating to the 17th century.
The mount is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross section (convex front, flat reverse). Two integral lugs project 4.6mm from the reverse which are oval in cross section and bent slightly in the same decoration. The moutn is a medium green colour.
The mount is 8.2mm in diameter, 6.2mm thick including the lugs and weighs 0.91 grams,

A Medieval to Post-Medieval lead-alloy mount, dating to c.AD 1200 - 1600. The mount is circular with a central cross decorated with a row of pellets and larger central pellet. The circular border has moulded triangular motifs project inwards at each angle of the cross. All decoration is in deep relief which might have been to accommodate some coloured material in imitation of enamel. The reverse of the mount has a broken circular sectioned integral rivet in the centre.

An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy sexfoil mount dating from c.AD 1500-1600. The mount is in the form of sexfoil, made from seven similar sized pellets, six evenly spaced around a central pellet. On the reverse, each of the outer cells is concave. At the centre is a scar where a central attachment point would have been located.

An incomplete copper alloy stud / mount dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1600-1700).
The object has a circular head that is roughly three quarters complete. It is decorated with radiating ribs (12 in total, 3 lost) to produce a rosette effect. The reverse is hollow, and plain, with a central integral pointed rivet of roughly square cross-section. The object has a brown / green patina.

A post Medieval gilded cast copper alloy hexafoil mount, 16.5mm in diameter, with a convex boss surrounded by six round lobes comprising concentric annulets with circular centres. A near complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount, c.AD 1600-1700.
This mount is flat and asymmetrical, with a sub-oval main plate. At one end it extends, narrowing, to a trefoil terminal that is partially broken. At the opposite end is a smaller sub-circular plate with a floral knopped terminal, also partially damaged. The front surface of the mount is decorated with a thistle-style motif; the underside is flat and undecorated. Projecting from the top end of the reverse is an integral rectangular-sectioned attachment spike, which is missing a point.

A late Early medieval copper alloy object, probably a mount with a suggested 11th century date.
The mount consists of a sub-rectangular plate with a rectangular cross section and a possible worn break at the rounded end. An incomplete copper-alloy mount of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1700.
The mount is heart-shape with two attachment spikes projecting from the reverse. The spikes are aligned vertically, and both are broken and worn.
The metal has a dark red/brown patina and is worn. The mount is 16.9mm long, 10.3mm wide, 5.8mm thick and weighs 1.4g.

An incomplete copper-alloy mount or strap fitting of Post-Medieval Date, c.AD 1500-1700.
The object comprises an openwork lozenge main plate with integral lozenge terminals to either end. The terminals are solid with an incised cross on the upper surface of each.
Two partial rivets are present to the reverse of the object, one at each terminal end. Both are broken and worn.
The metal has a dark green/red patina and is worn. The object is 32.5mm long, 13.3mm wide, 6.3mm thick and weighs 2.6g.

A complete post-medieval copper alloy strap mount dating from AD 1500 - 1700. It is sub-triangular, moulded into a possible lotus design with a flat back and convex front. There are two integral pointed mounting spikes on the reverse, both bent over to grip the leather. It is 16.8mm long, 14.7mm wide and 5.7mm thick. 1.8g.
Compare fig 5 in Maslin (2021) Finds Research Group datasheet 55 where a similarly shaped mount is described as a lotus used as a heraldic motif.
