A complete copper alloy penannular brooch of Roman date (AD 43-410). Fowler Type D, Booth type D7, Bayley & Butcher, 2004, Type P4. The object is circular in section and plan, with the terminals of the brooch recurved over the ring and flattened. The terminals have a central notched waist with a groove to either side to emulated animal heads. The pin is retained and is composed of a thin tapered wire which is recurved around the body of the brooch. Diameter: 29.69mm, Thickness: 4.08mm, Weight: 4.8g The metal is dark green in colour with a slightly pitted patina.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged double lugged trumpet brooch, dating between AD 80-200. The head of the brooch is ovate, with two integral pierced semi circular lugs on the reverse to accommodate an axis bar. On the centre of the disc is a centrla reserved spot surrounded by a concave sided hexagon on whose cusps are small circles, and in the recesses are remains of blue enamel.
