Reverse features long cross above beaded circle with three pellets contained in the angles. Legend reads 'CIVI TAS LON DON' Coin is in good condition with unclipped edges and very little wear. A hammered silver, or possibly base metal penny of Edward I c. 1279 - 1307 AD. (the imitation coins probable date c. 1300 - 1400 AD) The obverse has a slightly crude facing bust and the reverse has the long cross with three pellets within each quadrant. The coin is well struck and in very good condition but the crudely formed bust and inaccurate legends lead to its being a contemporary Imitation issue. The coin is 19.1mm diameter, 0.64mm thick and weighs 1.2gm. Legend - EDWR ANGL DNS HYB - CIVITAS LONDEN
