A fragment of an Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper strap-end (cf. Thomas Class E, Type 4) made from a single plate of cast copper alloy. The rear end has broken off. The body of the object is tongue-shaped and decorated with a complex double-stranded insular Borre style ‘vertebral ring-chain’ interlace motif. The reverse is undecorated.

A cast copper alloy fragment, probably part of a late Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) cast copper-alloy cheek piece from a harness fitting dating to the 11th century AD (cf. Williams (2007) Type 1). The fragment comprises a curled loop with teardrop shaped aperture at the centre, part of a second aperture on one side (which the object has broken across) and four or more incomplete decorative projections running around the exterior edge. One side of the fragment has crudely incised geometric decoration in the form of two bands, possible devolved interlace or zoomorphic forms.

An incomplete cast copper alloy zoomorphic fitting of later early medieval date but of uncertain function. The object is triangular, tapering from a break across a pair of rivet holes to a beast head terminal with a flat attachment loop projecting from the snout. There appears to be indistinct moulded decoration on the front of the plate; details of eyes, brow, ears and snout are visible on the beast head.

The object has a flat reverse, with a concave hollow to the rear of the loop.

The head is globular with a slightly flattened top and decorated with a twisted and grooved design spiralling around the head (a style known as ‘wrythen-headed'). At the base of the head is a small collar at the top of the shaft, which ends in an old break. Much of the original surface has been lost to corrosion.

An unusual cast copper alloy strap hook or hooked fitting of medieval date. The object has a subrectangular plate with slightly concave sides and a plano convex cross section. This has symmetrical decoration of scrolled forms running along the plate, rendered largely illegible by corrosion but probably intended to represent an elongated beast head. One end has a rounded attachment loop with five projections around the edge. The other end has an incomplete hook. C. later 11th-mid 12th century.

A complete cast copper alloy early medieval (Anglo Saxon) strap end (cf. Thomas Class A2h). The plate is narrow and oval, waisted to a flared rear end which is characteristically split but incomplete having  broken across the rivet holes on the edge. The front of the plate is decorated with cross hatching or lattice decoration within a linear border. The terminal is zoomorphic, although now too worn for much detail to be visible.

An early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy saucer brooch, dating to c. AD.450-550. The front of the brooch is dished, with an angular and upturned rim around; this is incomplete on one side. The front of the brooch is decorated with a five pointed star pattern formed by double-ridged concave arcs enclosed by an engraved concentric line around a small central boss. There is no trace of gilding. The reverse has an in-line hinge lug and catchplate. There is extensive deposition of iron corrosion products around the hinge lug from a now lost iron spring and pin.

A cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 800-1100), of Thomas class B type 1. The strap end is triangular and bent in the middle. It has a moulded zoomorphic terminal with a transverse incised line collar and three dot-in-annulets behind running to the rear of the plate. The rear end is split with two rivet holes, one retaining traces of an iron rivet. There is a pierced hole to the rear of the terminal, slightly offset to one side, the function of which is unclear.

A heavily worn and corroded cast copper alloy fragment, possibly the front end of a buckle, part of a stirrup strap mount (possibly Williams Class B, Type 3 or 4) or part of a harness link element (cf. the central portion of SUSS-A55F19) of later early medieval date (c. 10th-12th century). The fragment is triangular, with stumps of a frame or plate projecting back and a convex body which tapers to a blunt point and has flanking oblique grooves at the junctions with the stumps. The reverse is concave.

A late Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy anthropomorphic mount, probably from a stirrup terminal and 20.3mm in length. The terminal is triangular in cross section and overall shape. The decoration unusually is not zoomorphic, instead having a moulded ridge around the wide end, from which a subrectangular lobe projects up the centre of the plate and with the narrower portion of the object tapering to a break with incised lines along the margin.
