Silver Denarius of Pescennius Niger (AD 193-4) (Reece Period 10), VICTOR[IAE AVG?], Victory advancing right with wreath and palm. Mint of Antioch. RIC IV, pt 1, p. 37 86var. The coin recorded in RIC has a different obverse legend, and Victory is standing right. However, a similar coin was sold at Spink, October 1st 2009, Sale 9026, Lot 1038. This is the first official coin of Pescennius Niger to be recorded on the PAS Database.
