A hammered silver penny of King Coenwulf of Mercia dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 796-821) struck by Æthelmod at Canterbury. The obverse depicts a legend reading COENVVLF REX arranged circumferentially around a central circle and an M within it. The reverse depicts a voided Tribrach moline consisting of two lines that divides the name of the moneyer Æthelmod (EþELMOD).

Obverse: COENWULF REX around M. Reverse: Tribarach moline of three lines with moneyer's name between. (North 342; Cn. 5-22; BMC 93). Masurements: 19mm in diameter and 1.3g in weight
