A small rectangular fragment of light blue translucent glass, it has a greenish tint when held up to the light; possibly window glass. The top edge is slightly thicker than the rest of the body. The obverse of the glass, in plan view, has a small rounded depression towards the top in the centre of the glass. Towards the bottom of the main body it appears to have sheared off at a shallow angle. The outer edges of the glass are both straight but with slight pitting. A fragment of hand made sheet window glass from the post-Medieval period, c.1590-c.1700. The glass is uneven in thickness, with air bubbles evident and the surface is very scratched. The glass has a greenish tint and has probably come from diamond leaded windows.It measures 38.05 in length, 31.50 mm in width and is 2.07 mm thick. It weighs 3.449 grams.

A fragment of cast pale green window glass of probably Roman date. roughly triangular in shape, measuring 35.66mm in length and 11.63mm in width and 3.95 in thickness and weighs 2.3 grams. No edges to the pane survive, so impossible to tell what the original shape was when complete. One face is rough to the touch with tiny wavy lines which would indicate the pane was made by pouring molten glass onto a slab of sedimentry rock, the other side is smooth and more translucent.
