A copper alloy, incomplete scissors dating from around the post-medieval period. At one end of the scissors is the finger ring, then there joint to connect the ring to the scissor blade, which is mostly missing. The inner side of the scissor blade has a small circular slot, probably to insert the pin in to secure both blades together. The outer side of the scissors show no visible sign of decoration, either due to the corrosion or the design is plain. The condition of the scissors is corroded in some areas and worn in others.

Post Medieval hinge of possible scissors or sugar tongs in silvery grey alloy. Round housing decorated with moulded ring on both faces. The two circular elements pivot on a central fixing (now seized) and two projections are moulded on to one of these, presumably handles and blades/tong arms. Both projections have snapped off the other element. Two similar examples can be seen at PAS refs. NMS-82A783 and HAMP-BF3893. Suggested date c.1700 - 1800.
