Fragment of a plain gold rod. The gold rod is generally rectangular in section and is slightly bent and twisted. One end has a plain, smooth terminal; the other end has been bifacially cut. The surface is pitted; there is no decoration. The rod measures 18.42mm long, 3.48mm wide and 2.06mm thick and weighs 1.61g. Due to its undiagnostic nature it does not represent Treasure under the terms of the Treasure Act (1996).
