An early post medieval cast copper alloy strap or box fitting. The main body is triangular in form with an openwork sub-triangular aperture in the centre with the body extending to terminate in a trefoil shape. There is a single medial hole towards the top of the main body and a further hole in the centre of the trefoil, all of which at one time contained iron pins or rivets with the rusted remains very visible. A Post Medieval incomplete copper alloy hinged fitting possibly for a book or casket. The fitting has a retangular shaped plate with two rivet holes. The patina overall is smooth and shiny with patches that are rougher both on the inside and outside surfaces.

A probably post medieval cast copper alloy strap fitting. The main body is triangular in form with an openwork triangular apperture within, then it narrows and terminates in a fleur, being 29.2mm in length. There are two pivet holes in the top of the main body and a further hole in the centre of the fleur, all, at one time, contained iron rivets with the rusted remains very visible. Medieval to Early Post-medieval complete cast copper alloy hinged plate possibly from a casket dating 1300 - 1600 AD. The length is 19.63mm, the width is17.24mm and the weight 3.5g. The shape is sub rectangular with the sides having a concave shape forming an 'ox-hide' shape. At the top of the hinge there are four protrusions, which would have created the hinge junction. Copper alloy, probably Post-Medieval, hinged furniture fitting, probably a hinged mount from a casket or similar c.1500 - 1700 AD. Sub-triangular with rounded symmetrical notches on the top and bottom edges. The tip has broken off. The back shows a 2mm wide raised rim around the edge and a 7mm diameter circular lug c.1mm high approximately 20mm from the widest end. This half of the hinge had 3 cylindrical axis bar holders. The other half would have had 2 holders, one of which has snapped off and is present in this item.

A trapezoidal strip of iron with 2 intact nail holes and traces of two more along the 2 broken end edges. These holes are circular, are of different sizes and irregularly spaced and placed along the strip. All 4 have been punched from the front as the iron has risen in a rim around the edges of the holes at the back. The strip tapers from 40.1mm at the widest point down to 27.2mm at the narrowest.

A post medieval copper alloy hinge. The plate is rectangular, has two rivets and two projecting loops. The outside edge has two ridges flanking a small triangular bump. PAS record NMS-6ED5E6 has the same hinge but with an attachment, said to be from a casket.
