A post-medieval lead-alloy frame, used to repair the stem of a glass drinking vessel, probably dating 17th - 18th century. The frame is comprised of 2 circular rings and four vertical, lead-alloy strips connecting the two rings. It would have been moulded to the contours of the vessel, with the rings wrapped around the stem, one above and one below the breakage. There are small fragments of colourless glass remaining in the smaller ring of the frame.

An incomplete Post Medieval glass base from a goblet dating from the mid 16th to mid 17th century. The glass is colourless but has a flaking film covering it where it has begun to degrade. Examples of this type of goblet are illustrated in Willmott (2002:64).

Post Medieval glass ladder stem knop from a goblet dating from the mid 16th to mid 17th century. The knop is mould blown. The glass is colourless but has a flaking film covering it where it has begun to degrade. The foot and the bowl of the glass is broken and missing. Examples of this type of goblet are illustrated in Willmott (2002:64) and Willmott (2003:3).

A fragment from a post-medieval drinking glass.
Description: The fragment is pale green in colour and consists of a curved section of the stem of the glass with part of a sub-circular, applied, glass prunt. Behind the prunt the glass is thickened into a convex bump approximately 12mm in diameter. The prunt is covered in small, raised 'pimples' which commonly represents a raspberry or blackberry. The glass is heavily patinated with a gold coloured patina in some places and a multicoloured patina in others.

Post Medieval glass Lion mask stem knop from a goblet dating from the mid 16th to mid 17th century. The knop has two opposed frontal lion faces with raised foliate bosses and swag between. The knop is mould blown. Willmott (2002:63) writes "The lion mask is the most common variety of mould-blown stem in England and is know throughout Europe." The glass is colourless but has a flaking film covering it where it has begun to degrade. The foot and the bowl of the glass is broken and missing.
