An almost complete Roman cosmetic grinder, made of copper alloy. The grinder likely comes from a cosmetic grinder/pestle and mortar set. The grinder is a crescent shape, tapering to a point either end. The concave side of the grinder has an integrally-cast circular loop in the centre, although this loop has broken so only half of it remains. There appears to be no engravings or extra details added to the grinder. The convex side is dented and worn, suggesting heavy usage.
