Incomplete copper alloy Roman Colchester Derivitive brooch. Only the lower half remains having snapped in half. The bow is convex with a hollow plain back. The decoration consists 2 lozenges with raised borders separated by two raised bars. Beneath these is a further lozenge filled with cross-hatching. Incomplete copper alloy Colchester one-piece brooch. It has a short forward-facing hook and a slim, undecorated bow. Half the spring survives but the pin has snapped and is missing. Part of one of the wings is present. The bow projects from the front of the head with a width of 5.9mm tapering to a point at the foot. It is sub-oval shaped, almost sub-rectangular, in cross section and gradually narrows down its length to a minimum width of 1.4mm at the foot which is pointed and plain. The entire bow is also plain. Slightly tapering, gently curved and D-shaped in cross section with regularly spaced raised transverse ridges along whole length giving a segmented design. The back is plain. A copper alloy intact Roman ring. The band has been slightly squashed and is now quite thin in places. It starts off with a circular section at the shoulders but then flattens from above and below.  The shoulders expand to form an oval-shaped bezel outlined by a single incised line all the way around the circumference. An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of Roman date (AD 43-410). The ring has a central oval bezel, the recess of which which measures 10.6mm x 8.1mm. This is the widest part of the ring. The ring then tapers and narrows on either side of the bezel (shoulders) to a uniform width of 2.4mm to form the start of the band on each side. The tapering of the shoulders is even and symmetrical. Within the recessed bezel is a slightly off centre small raised circular area perhaps used to impress the design on wax as a personal seal or perhaps residue from something else (glass, enamel etc.)…

An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring or earring, (AD 43-410). It is C-shaped, and snapped at both ends. It is formed by twisting two thin copper wires into a cable. It is a maximum of 2mm thick at the centre and has a curved length of 33.5mm. The metal is an even pale green colour and rather worn and smooth to the touch. Possibly made from a 4th century twisted bracelet.
