A complete cast copper-alloy Roman nail cleaner dating to c. AD 43-200. Crummy type 2a.
The nail cleaner has a leaf-shaped blade, tapering gently from the shoulders, which are 14.03 mm wide, to the bificated points or prongs. The suspension loop has a central linear groove and is at a right angle to the plane of the blade and is now filled with corrosion. Below the loop, is a stepped block and decorative mouldings of transverse lines, before another rectangular block decorated with four transverse ribs. A complete cast copper-alloy late Iron Age to mid-Roman unilobed strap-fitting or slide, c.50 BC - AD 200.
The fitting is formed of an oval 'eye' shape, with a raised circular dome in the centre, set into a raised 'eye' shaped border (or pointed oval) with raised pointed ends. The perimeter of the 'eye' is delineated by a single groove, as are the pointed ends. On the reverse of the fitting there is a rectangular sectioned bar through which the strap would slide. The strap fitting has a mid-green patina.

The object is flat and rectangular with straight sides. it is decorated on one face with three slightly raised square panels, equidistant, one at each end and another in the centre. A base-silver denarius, possibly a contemporary copy, of Caracalla as Caesatr (AD 196-8) (Reece Period 10, possibly [PIETAS], Pietas standing left at altar, holding box of incense. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 1, p. 213, no. 12. It is quite possible that this is a regular coin, but its appearance suggest that it is quite base silver, suggesting it might be a copy. The PIETAS type is scarce and it is possible it is a copy of a coin with a reverse from another coin.

The figurine is in the form of a hollow, bearded male and is three-dimensional. The head looks slightly to the right into the distance, it has has well-defined wavy, thick hair which borders the face, leading to a thick beard. The back of the head has a convex oval area. A rectangular sheet of copper alloy broken at the fold, with a pin slot, frame recesses and two rivet holes near the inside edge. There is decoration within a double-line frame consists of a fish swimming to the right. Dark brown patina. Buckle plates with similar designs recorded on the PAS database include NMS-59CBE6.

It is pelta shaped or peltiform with a crescent-shaped lower edge that finishes with upturned heads that appear like confronted zoomorphic heads. It is pelta shaped or peltiform with a crescent-shaped lower edge and an upper edge consisting of two bevelled, semi-circular cutouts (biconcave). Each end of the crescent is marked with two lozenge-shaped notches. Both surfaces are flat and the sides are slightly chamfered. It has a smooth, dark green patina.
