Treasure case : 2005 T386 This hoard consists of 37 coins and fragments. All are silver and official issues of the kings of England and (in one case) Scotland and thus have a fineness of the sterling standard: 92.5% fine metal. The find consists of one half-crown, 20 shillings, 15 sixpences and a 20-pence Scots (a detailed list is attached). The coins had a value of slightly over 30 shillings in the mid 17th century, a sum equivalent to around a few hundred pounds in modern terms.
