A fragment of an abraded Roman oxidised vessel with lead vessel mend. The fragment is from probably a large bowl with very thick rim. Its posssible to estimate that the diameter of the vessel would have been above 300mm although less that 10% of the circumference now survives. The fragment is broadly rectangular in shape and tear-drop-shape in cross-section and profile. The breaks are uneven, revealing light grey fabric. The external face is light orange. The fabric is hard and coarse with moderate sub-angular white sand <2.5mm and widespread <0.5mm black sand. The fragment measures 38.4mm long, 22.4mm wide, 12.6mm thick and weighs 10.25 grams.

A shell-tempered rim fragment from a vessel of probably Roman date. The fragment is part of the flat base and angled vessel wall. The in tact edge of the base is slightly rounded. Irregular breaks of dark reddish-brown sandy fabric with sparse inclusions of c. 1mm brown sand and abundant <0.5mm white sand and <0.5mm black sand. The fabric is darkened on the external surface, likely sooting.  The fragment measures 39.9mm in height, mm long, 34.3mm wide, 7.2mm maximum thickness and weighs 15.05 grams.

A wall sherd fragment from a Roman samian ware bowl, probably a Dragendorf 45 type, dating c. AD 170-260. The sherd is irregular in shape and comprises part of the wall and rib. The fabric is fine and orange in colour at the breaks, with a glossy orange-red slip on both the inside and patches on the outer surface. The lower portion of the interior surface is covered by widespread angular sand, which is very worn. The fragment measures 69.4mm long, 33.9mm maximum width, 14.8mm maximum thickness and weighs 42 grams.

A rim sherd from a possible Roman grey ware bowl in a fine hard very fine grey fabric with frequent small grit inclusions, (<0.1 to 0.2mm). There is a rib running aross what would have been the vessel's circumference c.7mm below the rimg which is 4.1mm wide and 2.6mm tall. The rim is flat with traces of horizontal wheel marks suggesting it was thrown on a wheel. The fragment is too small to determine its original diameter. The sherd is 31.2mm long, 23.2mm wide,10.4mm thick at the ribn and 7.5mm thick at the break. It weighs 6.01 grams.
