A complete Mesolithic tranchet axehead made from a nodule of dark grey / black flint, 133mm in length. Only one face of the axehead is worked, the other remains largely covered with cortex and it appears the tool was made from a long nodule which defines the overall shape. The cross section is lenticular and the butt end is tapered and rounded. The cutting edge has several transverse removals to create a rounded tip with a wedge-shaped cross section. There is battering damage to the cutting edge, possibly from use.

One long side is backed with abrupt retouch, the convex side feathers to an edge which has a patch of short abrupt retouch blunting it at the proximal end and an area of what may be use related damage towards the distal end. The proximal end is concave with a hollow base defined by abrupt retouch. The distal point has broken off.

A secondary core trimming or rejuvenation flake of Mesolithic date, struck from a dark grey flint and 58.9mm in length. The flake is curved, with a small striking platform at the proximal end. There are a number of parallel removal scars on the dorsal surface and a small patch of brown coloured cortex on the curved distal tip.
