An incomplete lead hooked tag of probable Early Medieval date. It consists of a circular boss with two pierced attachment loops, the hook is missing, with iron corrosion present around a circular hole in the disc. Decoration comprises a prominent boss in the centre of three sets of double-line in counter-relief. A lead complete possible Viking gaming piece. It is oval in cross-section, with a copper-alloy rod in the centre, it has a flat, mis-shapen base. It tapers towards its upper terminal end. A similar, solid, possible gaming piece has been found at Long Melford, Suffolk see SF-C01997, Little Wilbraham, Cambridgehsire see SF-50B784, and two hollow very simliar examples have also been found at Little Wilbraham, Cambridgeshire, see SF-6F5256 and SF-6F7361. A lead Early Medieval spindle whorl, dating from about AD 850 - 1000. It is of Walton Rogers form A1. The spindle whorl is sub-conical in form, with one flat face and one face with one rounded face.  The whorl has a cream patina and is undecorated. Measurements are; diameter 26.9mm, thickness 6.9mm and weight 24.76g.  The central hole has a diameter of 11.1mm. Form A1 whorls are dated by Walton Rogers to AD 500 - 1000. Those with a central perforation of 11mm are more likely to be from the late Anglo Saxon period.

Eight wide radial cuts or grooves appear on one side of the whorl: this texture or decoration has recently been noted as a most unusual feature of another whorl reported recently from the immediate vicinity. Walton Rogers dates form B1 from AD 700 in York to 1200. A large central perforation makes a date from AD 850 onwards more likely.

A small, cast lead spindle whorl of Walton Rogers formB1, probably dating from the Early Medieval period, about AD 700 - 850. It is discoid in form, flat at the base, and with vertical sides rising to a flat upper surface. There are no markings. There is a central, circular perforation with an internal diameter of  6.4mm. Lead possible net sinker. A weight made by rolling a sub-rectangular scrap of cast sheet lead, probably achieving a slightly overlapping seam though this is now disrupted, perhaps by removal of the object from the selvedge of a net or, given that it is lighter than many formal parallels, from a fishing line, as is kindly suggested by the finder. At nearby Flixborough, tubular lead net weights were dated to the Middle Saxon period.
