A fragment of a silver penny, probably of Burgred (852-874), 'lunette, lines with crooks' type (N426). Alternatively, there is the possibility that it is of Alfred (871-899) 'lunette' type (N628). This coin is also recorded on the Early Medieval Coin Corpus as 2014.0012.
