A Spanish Post-Medieval copper alloy six maravedis 'resellado' of Philip III (1598-1621) or Philip IV (1621-1665), countermarked revalued/revalidated, probably during the reign of Philip IV (1621-1665). These are often called 'cob' coins after the Spanish word for copper which is 'cobre': they were crudely made in Spain initially and later in the Americas for use in the Spanish colonies.
