A complete silver threepence from the second issue of the reign of Elizabeth I (AD1558-1603).
Ermine initial mark. AD1572, Ermine mintmark. North 1998.
Obverse description:Crowned bust left with rose behind.
Obverse inscription:ELIZABETH D G ANG FRA [ET HIB] REGINA.
Reverse description:Long cross fourchee on square shield dividing the legend, date above
Reverse inscription:POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEV.
The coin is in a fair condition with some wear on both faces,it has been clipped around the edge.
Bust possibly intentionally deface…
