Elizabeth 1st Threepence, silver 1575, third or fourth issue (Spinks 2014). Overall the coin is well worn, the circumferece of the coin is worn so that in some places the letters of the inscription are only half height. The Obverse inscription is ELIZABETH D G ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA. The reverse inscription is POUSI DEU ADIUTOREM MEU. The Obverse is well worn with the inscription only partly visible. The reverse is a long cross on a shield, in the top left and bottom right quarter are 3 lis, in the top right and the bottom left are 3 lions.

The obverse legend has a mint mark of a portcullis and reads [E]LIZAB[E]TH.[...]HIB.REGINA. The reverse shows a long-cross fourchee over shield showing royal arms and a date of 1566 above. The reverse legend has an initial mark of a portcullis and reads POSVI.DE[V.AD].IVTO[RE].M.MEV. The die axis is probably 8 o'clock or 9 o'clock.
