Complete silver threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) 2nd issue with coronet initial mark dating 1567-1570AD (North No. 1998).
Obverse has crowned bust facing left, rose behind. Legend reads ELIZABETH: D.G: [ANG':]FR': ET: HI':REGINA
Reverse has squared shield on long cross fourchée with the date above, dividing the legend POS[VI ] / DEV AD /IVTORE /M MEV. Part of the date is worn but reads 15[..].

The coin shows some minor wear and clipping. It has a diagonal fold across the surface that has developed into a fracture at each end.
