A silver sixpence of Elizabeth I, AD 1558-1603. Obverse shows an unclear crowned bust left, with rose behind head. Obverse legend is unclear but reads [ELI]ZABETH.D.G ANG.FR.ET.[HI' REGINA]. The initial mark, on both sides of the flan, is an unclear 'A', AD 1582-1584, sixth coinage issue. Reverse shows a long cross fourchee over Royal shield, 15/84 clearly visible above shield. Reverse legend reads POS[VI]/DEV' AD/IVTORE/M. MEV'. Die axis is approximately 9 o'clock. Weight is 2.46g, diameter is 25.9mm, thickness is 0.7mm.

An incomplete, post-Medieval to Modern silver coin: probably a cast copy, contemporary or otherwise, of a sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603), issue and date unknown. The obverse is in very poor condition. The reverse shows a square topped royal shield. The coin is thicker than most hammered coins, and the surface is pitted and has extra metal on the obverse. It 25.1mm in diameter and 1.2mm thick. It weighs 3.2g. About quarter of the coin is missing.
