A post-Medieval silver coin: a double struck half groat of Edward VI, first period, Canterbury mint, dating from AD 1547 - 1549. It is 20.5mm in diameter and 0.4mm thick. It weighs 1.07g. Reference: North, volume 2, page121, number 1901. The coin has a soapy feel and is very flat.
