Gold hammered post-medieval sovereign of Edward VI, minted in the name of Henry VIII, dating to AD 1547-1551. Rose initial mark. Obverse of forward-facing enthroned king with sceptre: HENRIC 8 DEI GRA ANG FRA ET HIB REX. Reverse of crowned shield with lion and dragon supporters: IHS AVTEM TRANSIENS PER MEDIVM ILLOR IBAT. The coin is 29.70mm in diameter and 0.65mm in thickness.
