An incomplete, very worn and damaged silver Medieval penny of Edward IV, first reign, heavy coinage (1461-5), class 4, minted at Durham (North 1544). The lettering and much of the bust of this coin are now indiscernible as a result of the extensive wear and clipping on both faces. However, a worn probable rose is visible at the centre of the long cross on the reverse.
