A silver medieval long cross penny of Henry III, Class IIb dating to 1248. Moneyer is RICARD, Gloucester mint. The coin has a cut or split at 2 o'clock which follows the line of the voided cross and is likely the result of an aborted effort to cut the coin into halfpennies.
