A fragment of a medieval Silver voided long-cross penny of Henry III (AD 1216-1272), dating to the period c. AD 1248. Obverse is illegible. Obverse legend reads: []S RE[]. Reverse depicts a voided long cross quartering the coin with three pellets in each quarter. Mint unknown. Reverse legend reads: [] OHL []. As the Class II coins in Wren, 1993, page 48-49. This coin has been cut along the cross voids so only a quarter of the coin remains. Original diameter would have been approximately 17.3mm
