Medieval coin: A silver long cross cut halfpenny, probably minted by Huge at Norwich, who was working there between AD 1247 and 1250. Huge's name thus indicates that the coin was minted under the reign of Henry III (1216-1272), and allows it to be tentatively classified as a Class 2 or 3 long cross). A medieval silver cut half penny of Henry III (1216 – 1272). The coin is a voided long cross. The shape of the X suggests it is class 2 – 5a and there does not seem to be a sceptre which suggests class 2 or 3 (1248 – 1250). The reverse is not clear enough t be able to identify the moneyer or mint. The coin is recorded from a photograph and precise measurements are not available.
