An incomplete and bent Medieval silver voided long cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272 AD). Critical parts of the flan are missing making a definitive identification difficult, but it was probably minted in Canterbury by the moneyer ION. The lack of sceptre and crescent above the initial mark on the obverse of the coin suggest that the coin is class II or III and dates from 1248 AD to 1250 AD. North. English Hammered Coinage vol I (1994) p226 Nos 985-988.
