A fragment of a silver medieval coin, part of a voided long cross cut farthing of Henry III to Edward I, Class unknown, dating from AD 1247 - 1279. Mint and moneyer unknown. See North number 983 - 999 on page 225 - 227. Measurements are; length 8.4mm, width 6.9mm, thickness 0.5mm and weight 0.1g. The coin is cut along the centre of the cross, suggesting it was a cut farthing, but it could be a broken cut halfpenny or penny.
