A silver Medieval coin; a short cross penny of Henry III (AD 1216 - 1272), Class 8c (formerly class 8b3) with a cross pommee in the word REX, dating from AD 1244- 1247. It was struck by Nichole at the London mint. See North (1994) Volume I, number 981/3 on page 223.  Thickness: 0.86mm Weight: 1.23g Diameter: 18.61mm Obverse: Forward facing crowned bust holding sceptre. HENRIC[VS R]EX. Cross pommee in REX. Reverse: Voided short cross with a quaterfoil in each angle. NICHOL[E] ON LVN Die Axis: 12

A medieval silver coin: a short cross cut halfpenny of Henry III (AD 1216 - 1272), probably class 8c dating from AD 1244 - 1247. Mint of London. It is 17.6mm long, 9.8mm wide and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 0.6g. This coin could also be a Class 2. Compare North number 981/3 on page 223 of Volume 1(1994).

Mint of London or Canterbury. See North number 981/3 on page 223 of Volume 1 (1994). The coin is 17.8mm long, 9.4mm wide and 0.84mm thick. 0.74g.
