A silver medieval cut halfpenny, possibly of Henry III, whose reign lasted from AD1216-72. Due to the moneyer possibly being Ivs, as indicated on the reverse legend, the possible classes for this coin are as follows: 6b2-6d, 6x. 7a-7b. The coin has been cut so that only a quarter of the flan remains, the obverse has the head of the crossed sceptre, however the legend in illegible. The reverse features two arms of the short cross, with a quatrefoil intersecting these, what remains of the legend reads [VN C], indicating that the moneyer could be Ivn.
