A bent silver Medieval coin; a penny of Henry III (1216-72). The coin appears to be of a class 6 type (1218?-23), possibly subclass 'c' due to the three curls with pellets continuing up to the level of the crown. The reverse is impossible to read as the coin is folded onto itself. However, the obverse style makes this a short cross type. It measures 17.55mm x 9.05mm x 3.36mm, weighing 1.53g. For reference, see North, 976.
