A Medieval silver coin; a short cross penny of Richard I (AD 1189 - 1199), Class 2, dating from AD 1189 - 1190. It was struck by Aimer at London. See North number 965 on page 220 of Volume 1 (1994). The coin is 19.8mm in diameter, 0.7mm thick and weighs 1.43g.
