A late Iron Age gold uninscribed quarter stater, 'QC' gold type. One of a large series attributed to the Atrebates. Philip de Jersey dated the coin to around 50 - 40 BC. The coin has been slightly mis-struck so it is possible to see more of the design of the reverse than usual, especially the two sort of torc motifs above and in front of the horse's head (Philip de Jersey, pers. comm).
