An incomplete Iron Age silver unit of Atrebatic or Regnian derivation, Bean's QsT1-8 sub-type (Bean 2000, p. 70, fig. 3.8). Obverse; diademed (?) bust right with hair formed of crescents, pellet-in-ring motifs around. Reverse; horse walking right, pellet-in-ring motifs to left and right, annulets in field, spoked wheel above horse and devolved lyre/comb design below. Around 1/3 of the coin has broken away in old damage, though it is still preserved in extremely good condition.

The obverse reads COM.F within a tablet, the reverse depicts a warrior on horse, holding a spear, facing right; VIR behind, REX below. The reverse is concave from a side on profile. Comparable single coins recorded on this database are SUR-994537 and IOW-1954B6. Reference: Van Arsdell 500-1; BMC 1146.58; ABC 1190.

An Iron Age copper alloy, silver plated unit of the Regini and Atrebates, struck for Epaticcus (c. AD 20-40) or possibly Caratacus (AD 40-43), Reece period 1. It is of Rudd's 'Epaticcus Eagle' or 'Caratacus Eagle' type, the former being more likely as it is a commoner coin type. It is likely this is a contemporary copy of the usual silver issues of this coin. Reference: ABC 1346 or 1376; Van A 580 or 593; BMC 2024-2293 or 2376-84.

An incomplete Iron Age plated contemporary copy of an 'early uninscribed' gold stater, probably of a Selsey type of the Regni and Atrebates / Southern region, dating to c. 60 - 20 BC. The obverse now obliterated by traces of iron staining and blackening (possibly from being burnt). The edge at one point is very thin and jagged. The reverse depicts a triple-tailed horse right, wheel below, but without the charioteer's arm above. Depicted instead are a crescent and two pellet-in-rings on the edge of the coin.
