An Iron Age gold stater, attributed to the Southern tribes of the Atrebates or Regini and dating from c. 60-50 BC. ABC no. 485, the 'Selsey two-face' or ABC 491, the 'Selsey S-type' (Cottam 2010:47-48). The reverse of this coin is very worn and almost indistinguishable, therefore it is unclear which of the above two issues this coin belongs.

A copper alloy 'Chichester Cock' bronze unit of the Regini (or Atrebates) dating to the period BC 65-45. Obverse depicts a helmeted head. Reverse depicts a small bearded head surmounted by a cock possibly holding a snake in its beak. "These coins are copied from Gaulish types. Chichester Cock bronze units constitute a very large coinage of the mid 1st century BC. .. they are the only bronze coins issued in the Southern Region .. they feature an anthropomorphic cockerel, a genre of grotesque fantasy beasts know as grylloi which date from the 5th century BC." A worn but complete gold stater, attributed to the Southern tribes of the Atrebates or Regini, dating to 60-50 BC. A Selsey-type, probably ABC 485, the 'Selsey two-face' type. The obverse is quite worn and details are hard to make out, however the attributes of the reverse suggest that ABC 485 is most likely.
