A well preserved and barely worn gold Iron Age stater of British early uninscribed type I, dating from the early to mid first century BC. The coin depicts a stylised head of Apollo on the obverse and a horse facing left with wheel behind on the reverse (see Hobbs 1996, Plate 9, numbers 193-200 for similar).
