A contemporary forgery of an Iron Age gold stater. British Museum classification: Early Uninscribed 'A' Gold - 'Westerham' Type (Hobbs 1996: 48, cf. contemporary forgeries nos. 33 and 34). The core of the coin has been made from heavily debased silver, with no trace of the original gilt surface surviving. Dimensions: diameter: 18.7mm; thickness: 2mm. Weight: 2.39g.

A complete Iron Age Continental Gallo-Belgic Xb gold quarter-stater (Sills Class 3), dating to c. 200-100 BC. The coin is of globular form with a rough depression on the reverse with a thin bar across the centre. The attribution of this coin is unknown, suggestions including the Parisii and Senones, the Suessiones and Carnutes, and even the Cimbri and Teutoni (J. Sills, Gaulish and Early British Gold Coinage, 2003, pp. 304-6). Sills 2003, p. 306, Class 3 (no. 358). Diameter: 7.53mm; thickness: 4.25mm. Weight: 1.73g.

An incomplete Iron Age silver unit of the Berkshire 'Abingdon zoo' type, a variation of ABC 1004 (horse right). The obverse is similar to both ABC 1001 and 1004 but the bottom design is of a horse advancing left with its head turned and looking over its back, similar to de Jersey's Type A. One other example of this same coin is recorded from Blewbury, Oxfordshire as CCI 95.3389 and discussed in de Jersey 1998, illustrated as figure 2f. An Iron Age silver stater of the East Wiltshire tribal group centred on Vale of Pewsey, perhaps the Cornovii. Rudd's Vale of Pewsey type (ABC 2107), dating from c. 50-35 BC. Other coins struck by this group recorded on this database are WILT-C4B455 and WILT-3E3165. Of the latter coin Chris Rudd comments 'In 1961 Derek Allen hinted that there may have been a 'minor cantonal grouping' in east Wiltshire. In 1977 archaeologist Dr Paul Robinson gave the idea numismatic credibility. Subsequent coin finds seem to confirm that a small tribe or sub-tribe was centred on the Vale of Pewsey, …

An early 1st century BC copper alloy Iron Age uninscribed British potin of Allen class I type. The obverse shows a head facing left and the reverse a bull butting right with two crescents above. This variety features a very angular "stick-bull", but this detail has been obscured due to surface wear. The coin has the remains of casting flash in the location of 11-12 o'clock on the obverse, but the rest has been removed. Cf. Van Arsdell type 129-133; ABC No. 171.
