A gold, uninscribed, Iron Age quarter stater, probably of Gallo-Belgic D / ‘Boat Tree’ type, dating to the period c.80-60 BC. Obverse: Boat with two occupants? Reverse: Tree-like motif above forked line, Y-shaped motif below. cf. Sills 2017: p. 15, nos. 24-26; ABC p. 29, no. 40. This is probably a Gallo-Belgic rather than insular British type.  Dimensions: 12.5mm diamter and 1.0mm thick, it weighs 1.43g

A very worn cast copper-alloy Iron Age Thurrock type potin, c.125-50 BC. There is active corrosion on both faces and it remains uncertain if the coin is inscribed or precisely which direction the bull on the reverse type faces. It is most closely paralleled in Hobbs nos. 666-667.
