A Continental bronze unit from the Lower Seine valley area of France. This series, which carries the inscription PIXTIL[OS], although not visible on this example, is traditionally attributed to the Aulerci Eburovices. Datable to the period after the Gallic Wars and before the reign of August, i.e. c. 50-30 BC. Reference: Delestree & Tache (Volume II, 2004), series 454, no. 2466.

A gold Iron Age stater in superb condition. The coin is a Northern Gold stater of Cunobelin of the joint Catuvellauni/Trinovantes tribe, 'Wild Series A', Hobbs numbers 1887-1792. The coin dates to late in the reign of Cunobelin, towards the latter end of the first century BC to early first century AD. It exhibits some classical influence in the style of the horse and the execution of the coin ear. It bears the inscription CAMV for Camulodonum (Colchester) on the obverse and CVN for Cunobelin on the reverse. It measures 16.71 mm in diameter, 3.08 mm thick and weighs 5.4 grams.

A gold late Iron Age Northern Region Trinovantian or Catuvellaunian quarter stater of Cunobelin, struck at Camulodunum (Colchester), dating from the late first century BC to the early first century AD. The obverse depicts a corn ear and is inscribed CA/MV and the reverse depicts a horse galloping right, and would presumably have had CVN below, although this is off the flan. Similar to Hobbs (1996) number 1843. The coin is in good condition.

A celtic gold stater of the Trinovantes, Tasciovanus' first coinage, dating from 25-20BC. (Note that Van Arsdell considers the coinage of the Catuvellauni to be indistinguishable from that of the Trinovantes). It is struck on an oval flan that is 13mm long, 11mm wide and 1.8mm thick. It weighs 1.35gm. Reference: van Arsdell, Celtic Coinage of Britain, number 1688-1.

An Iron Age gold coin; a stater, an addendum to the 1998 Silsden Hoard (IARCH-9C03F0). The stater is a coin of the Eastern Region / Catuvellauni and Trinovantes struck under Cunobelinus (about AD 8 - 41), Cunobelinus Linear X-type with an X privy mark under the A of CAMV. The coin is 17.8mm diameter, 3mm thick and 5.07g. See ABC number 2774 on page 136 and Van Arsdell number 1925-5 on page 397 (= BMC 1772). Compare also LANCUM-5FE7DC.
