A worn and corroded Early Medieval cast copper alloy stirrup mount, c. 1025-1100 AD. The mount has an overall symmetrical tongue shape. At one end it is square and bends away from the front face at 90 degrees to form a narrowed perpendicular flange (Type A Flange). On the front face progressing towards the other end of the mount the initial part is rectangular leading to symmetrical knops, one on either side.
