Incomplete Early Anglo-Saxon gilded silver wrist-clasp of Hines's Form C1. Just over half survives, with cast zoomorphic decoration comprising the remains of two opposed curving pelleted necks with beaked head(s), the outside edge of both of which is bordered with stamped tiny triangles containing niello. There is one surviving broken pierced projecting lug on the rear edge. In the centre of the front edge is a rectangular projection decorated with an S shape reserved on a blue enamelled background, with a stump of a hook on the reverse. Granular breaks.
