A corroded late Medieval to early Post-Medieval copper-alloy purse bar, dating to AD 1450 - 1550 and of Williams class A1. The central block is globular with an axis hole for the suspension loop of 5mm diameter. The suspension loop is missing. Both arms remain; these are 9mm in diameter and have inlaid lattice around the top and sides, with the stumps of a pierced flange from which the purse once hung running on the underside. A corroded and incomplete early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) strap end of Thomas' Class A, type 5. The rear half of the strap end survives, with its characteristic split rear end and two rivet holes which are incomplete. The front of the object has panels of complex decoration of uncertain design, possible Trewhiddle style, with a small fragmentary area of niello and silver wire spiral inlay surviving. Circa 9th century AD.

The shield-shaped central block, moulded junctions to the arms and one arm of the purse remain. An early-medieval convex-sided copper-alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A1, 38.7mm in length and dating to the 9th century AD. The central panel has incised decoration in the Trewhiddle style, formed of an interlace pattern and inlaid with silver white metal. The attachment end is split with drilled two rivet holes thought both sides; the rivets have been lost. The terminal end is zoomorphic with incised ears and snout visible. The reverse is undecorated. There is some damage in the form of a split across the front towards the attachment end.

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy dress hook of Read Class C, Type 3, with a convex rectangular body. The front plate has a rectangular band of niello cross hatching, with transverse bands at either end. The back plate is wider than the front with laterally projecting edges and there is a square aperture in the back plate for a strap or cord. The tip of the hook has broken off. Circa 15th-16th century.

A silver object in the shape of a quatrefoil, 17.5mm in length, with downward facing petals or lobes and a pierced hole in a knop to the top of the object. There are four scutiform panels of decoration, one per petal, comprising two panels of engraved octofoil florettes (on each long axis) alternating with two panels of acanthus leaves or pairs of foliate scrolls (on each short axis). The button is 9.8mm wide with a pyramid shaped front and flat back; the shank is 8.8mm in length, with a rectangular section and oval shaped loop. A solid gold ring, weighing 7g, with a plain unadorned bezel. The hoop has a flattened plano-convex profile with pronounced ridged borders and measures 5.3mm wide at its narrow point and 10.6 around the bezel. The external diameter of the hoop is 20.1mm, the internal diameter is 17.1 and it varies in thickness from 1.3mm to 2.3mm. The unengraved oval bezel measures 10.4mm by 9.6mm and is set flush with the shoulders of the ring. At the rear of the bezel on either side at the widest point are small recesses measuring 2mm wide. An Early Medieval copper-alloy strap end with two rivet holes; both appear to be replacements after the split end had broken off (there are two earlier holes visible in the break). The strap end has a zoomorphic terminal which is thickened and a large panel on the body which comprises interlacing shoots and tendrils which form a symmetrical design of three registers. A small patch of niello inlay survives at one point.

An Early Medieval to Medieval copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount belonging to Williams Class A. The incised pentagonal frame contains a faint intertwined beast above which is a pair of opposed spirals and a union knot. The mount has a lobed apex, three rivet holes and a stepped flange. There are traces of inlaid niello on all the incised lines. The mount is similar to Williams Class A, Type 15 (also see no. 503 in Williams 1997).

A Post Medieval (16th century) copper-alloy purse bar minus its outer arms, handle and frame. On either side of the central block is a pair of animal heads whose open mouths grip the bar. Beyond the mouths are groups of closely-spaced grooves which run along the bar. The central boock is decorated on both sides and inlaid with niello. On one side is a shield within a frame and with pellets in the field. The other side of the block has a saltire with parallel lines and a single pellet in each field.

A fragment of a silver and niello-inlaid artefact: possibly part of a pinhead and shaft. The fragment comprises a flat piece of cast silver, the right side lost to a diagonal break and the left side apparently complete, possibly representing the remains of a pinhead. A vern worn and incomplete Anglo-Scandinavian copper-alloy openwork harness fitting. This appears to be the central part of a link with three projections, none of which is complete. The object is pierced by five circular holes around which are the worn remains of additional decoration comprising thin lines picked out in niello; the lines are now raised above the surface. The decoration appears to comprise two pairs of double-strand spirals joined together with a short fillet. The spirals curl around four of the circular holes.
