Complete late Medieval copper alloy purse hanger frame with niello inlay decoration. From the base of a narrow rectangular strap loop a semi-oval loop projects down and forwards curving back on itself towards the base of the strap loop from which it sprung. Just short of the return to the strap loop it bifurcates into two arms. One arm juts downwards in a short tapering projection to restrict the upper part of the semi-oval loop. Part of a copper-alloy late medieval to post-medieval purse frame. It consists of a strip of metal folded into a u-shape, with a small circular hole piercing one side. Cast copper alloy hooked strap fitting of probable post-medieval date (1500-1700). The fitting can be divided into two separate parts; the body and the hooked terminal. The body of the fitting is relatively flat with a sub-rectangular cross-section; whereas the hook is sub-triangular (D shaped). The hooked terminal has been formed by bending the upper part of the fitting back upon itself to form a U shaped hook. An incomplete copper-alloy and niello pin of Early Medieval date AD 900-1000. The pin is composed of a flat kite-shaped head with small rounded knop protrusion to three points; one at the top and two on each side. An incomplete late Saxon copper-alloy strap end of Thomas Type A. The strap end is tongue shaped, zoomorphic, and has a worn decorated face. The decoration has a three lobed design at the attachment end and an animal-head terminal at the other. Two ears eyes and a snout are visible. The middle has an intertwined design. It is sub-rectangular in shape with slightly convex sides, tapering to a blunt point at its animal-headed terminal. At the broad end are the remains of two rivets. The main body is recessed and appears to contain niello. Length 43.38mm, width 13.24mm, weight 8.81g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy central portion of a post medieval purse bar c.1450-1550. Consisting of a rectangular block (18.6 x 21.1 mm) with a drilling to accept a rod with in tegral supension loopand just one part of an 19,6mm arm remaining. The central block has a letter W on one side, typical of class A1 (Williams 2018, 2), and an illegible circular design on the other, both likely originally inlaid with niello. The arm has decoration of a tudor rose within a circle Weight 27.6g. Similar to published records SF-D7FD28 and LVPL2430.

An incomplete, medieval, copper alloy zoomorphic purse bar. In one view a human/animal face is clearly visible and when rotated 90 degrees a snake mouth can be seen swallowing the bar. The detail on the face is remarkable, with lines running from the eyes down the cheeks, and tiny grooves below the broken pivot point representing hair.
